インディアン シングルモルトのAmrut を初めて堪能しました。未だにインド産ウイスキーの存在に疑心暗鬼なのですが、熟成された樽香が非常に印象的でした。（ちなみに市販価格は1万円くらいと、超高価かつ入手難しいらしいです）。

夜もふけ、12時をまわるとギターの伴奏とともに歌が始まり、そしてダンス。

First time tried Indian Single Malt whiskey, AMRUT. I still don’t believe India produces whiskey but, this is really smoky and matured. – I came to know in later this cost you over USD 100 and not easy to buy in India.

After 12:00, midnight, host started playing guitar and, singing + dancing, Indian way.

子供の同じクラスのインド人ご夫妻が、夏に日本に行く打ち合わせをしたいとの事で、夜に我が家に来ることに。

マンションの別のお宅で別途パーティがあるので、簡単なものを…と。細巻きを作ってみました。ノンベジの方なのでサーモンとマグロも。喜んでいただけて良かった。

Parent of my son’s closest friend is coming to my house to have a chat on their visit to Japan in this summer.

After my house visit, they have a party in the same building, so I made a Sushi roll, “Hoso Maki”, for them as a light snack. We also prepared Salmon and Tuna, as they are Non-Veg. They so enjoyed it. Phew.

会社の秘書オススメのバーへ。ご機嫌なカウンターにライブDJ。お値段もお手頃。日本に帰国することが決まった同僚の送別会第一弾でした。インド人ダンスタイムが始まる前に退散。

First time to visiting HYDE, hot place for young Indian for night out. Tidy and nice bar counter and live DJ, also price of foods & drinks are reasonable. First round “farewell” dinner for the colleague who got announcement to back to Japan. Before the start of Indian dancing time, we left the bar.

おなじみのドビーガート。

会社勤めの場合、出張時に市内観光をするのは暗黙のルールで良しとされません。しかし新興国でホテルと会社と顧客を訪れるだけで何がわかるだろうか。

少しでも街の息吹や過酷な環境でもバイタリティ高く生活する様を見てもらおうと、深夜便で帰国する出張者を途中まで送りつつ、観光名所に少しだけ立ち寄り。

Again visited Dhobi Ghat.

Everyone feels little guilty to visit to tourist place when visiting city on business trip. However my opinion is how come everyone understand this country just hopping airport, hotel, office and client’s office.

I took my guest to the Dhobi Ghat before he flies back to Singapore (night flight), among let him feel part of, but one of the base of India, were we see vitality of the living life.

出張者を連れて、ペルシャ料理のお店へ。定番のカスタードプリン。手作り感、濃厚さ、どれも悪くないですが、午後仕事にならない…。

Took guest from Tokyo/Singapore to the famous Parsi cuisine restaurant. Most popular dessert in this restaurant is custard pudding, with strong flavor. Very nice but we cannot work in the afternoon when we have this at lunch.

またもや洗面台の蛍光灯のネジが壊れ、ぶらーん、となってしまいました。漆喰みたいなのにネジで留めてるので、安定感全くありません。

Again, ceiling lump has came out. It is stipulated into fragile ceiling, so I doubt it can be completely fixed.

会社の休憩所のお弁当置き場の横に、さりげなくココナツが！。確かに『ドリンク』ではありますが、オフィスで見かけると違和感満載です。

シーリンクよりムンバイ市内を眺めると、その開発の勢いに圧倒されます。50階以上建物が何棟も立ち並び、デリーやバンガロールとは異なる、商業都市らしさを感じます。

View from Sea Link road. We easily find rapid growth of this city, with over 50 floored building. Unlike Delhi or Bangalore, Mumbai is a commercial city.

最近アンビバレーという所にあるゴルフ場が再開したというので会社のメンバーと。ムンバイから東へ車で2時間半ほど。丘陵地域に突如、日本で言えば、昔ゼネコンや不動産会社がリゾート開発したような、ゴルフ場を有する別荘地が出現。インドにこんな場所があったのか、と。谷越えの多いコースでしたが、会社の後輩が見事ホールインワン！

We visited Aamby Valley golf course, recently reopened. After 2.5 hours drive from Mumbai, suddenly resort town showed up.It is similar to resort town in mountain area in Japan, where major construction company or real estate company developed in 1980s.

Course itself is full of variety and so many “valley” traps. Our colleagues made “hole in one” for the first time in his life, awesome!

インドでは、まだ都市ガスが普及していないのと、ガス漏れの危険もあるらしく、ガスシリンダーが主流です。

こんな風に自転車(三輪車?)に満載して家庭に届けられます。

In India, gas pipeline is not popular yet partly due to leakage / stolen. We uses Gas cylinder at home. It is delivered like in picture, with tricycles.
