今回宿泊したのはこちらのメゾネット式のジャグジー付ヴィラ。ダイブショップからほど近く、目の前はビーチと絶好のロケーション。サンセットバーもいい感じです。

到着してわかったのですが、Bandosは島の南西側が遊泳可能でラグーンのある地域になります。島は一周1.5km くらいあるので、子供連れの方だと、多少お値段かかりますが、140〜150番のヴィラが狙い目かも。プールもジム（キッズクラブもこちらです）も近くです。ただ、レセプション（レストランエリア）が遠い…。

We stayed at this jacuzzi villa. Close by Dive center and beach front. Sunset bar is very good place to spend for reading or evening drink.

We recognized after arrival, swimming area and shallow lagoon locates southwest of this island. This island is 500m square, therefore I recommend to stay villa number 140-150, even little expensive, if you are a family with young children. Swimming pool and gym (Kid’s club is also in the same building) are also close by. Only reception area (restaurant area) is far.

モルジブの首都マレに到着。ムンバイからは最近直行便が運行されていて、わずか3時間半ほどで到着。

今回のホテルは空港からスピードボートで15分くらいのところにあるBandos。老舗のOne Island one resortホテルです。

Arrived to capital of Maldives, Male. We now have a direct flight from Mumbai and only takes 3.5 hours.

This time we stayed at Bandos resort hotel, 15 minutes boat ride from the airport. It is 2nd Island hotel in Maldives in the history, as a one island one resort.

朝からサンドイッチ用のパンが配達されています。盗まれたりしないかって？ここは都心の真ん中。

Bread was delivered from early in the morning. Do you worry anyone to steal this? Oh no, Kiosk locates in the central of the city.

空港の近くにはいわゆるスラムがあるのですが、スラムの１つの機能として、ゴミの最終処分前の再利用パーツの分解があります。例えば車もこのとおり。ホイール、フロントグリル、ワイヤーハーネスなど、使えそうなものはバラされて、大通りに面した中古ショップで販売されます。

One of the slam’s function in the society is breakdown of garbage and recycle anything still can be used before the landfill. For example auto parts such as wheel, front bumper, wire harness etc are sold in second hand shop.

最近アトリエモールのショップが充実していているというので週末のランンチはMustardというインディアンフレンチへ。ラムバーガー、マスタードチキンサテなど。ソースは結構重めです。

Heard good reputation on new shop openings in Atelier Mall, and visited one of the Indian-French restaurant, Mustard. Lam burger, mustard chicken skew, etc. Source is little heavy.

会社の仲間とColabaにあるThe Tableへ。落ち着いた内装の中、ワインの注ぎ方、料理の運ばれるタイミング、味のクオリティ、客層、どれをとっても噂に違わず、なかなか素晴らしいレストランでした。ソフトシェルクラブ、とても美味でした。お値段はかなり高め。ワインを頼むとお一人5000ルピーくらいです。

Visited The Table, European cuisine restaurant near Colaba. Sensible decoration, perfect food and wine serving, level of taste, and quality of guest. I liked soft shell crab. Price is not cheap but worth to visit. INR 5,000 p.p.

最近の日経新聞にも掲載されていたMIZUという日本食レストランがオープンしたというので訪ねてみました。

焼き鳥にはキャロットソースが⁉︎ そして白湯鳥ラーメンは、なにやら醤油風のスープです。なんと麺は蕎麦で、出汁の効いた和風スープ。下の方から椎茸が出てきました。無理にラーメンにしなくても…

その他餃子などを頼みましたが、チョイチョイ、マサラ味にアレンジされていて、残念ながら我が家の外食のオプションにはなりませんでした。唯一「牛丼」は、汁だくではありますが、それっぽかったですが。

「IZAKAYA」ですが、お酒のライセンスがまだないので、アルコールは提供されません（笑）

Visited “Mizu”, Izakaya restaurant, which was recently introduced in the Nikkei newspaper.

Carrot source on Yakitori, and “black” soup for chicken needles. Noodles is tastes like SOBA, and found Shiitake mushroom in the soup. Not necessarily to be called “Ramen”.

Gyoza was with Masala taste, so not an option for my family for eating out, unfortunately. Only Gyu-don is very close to the original one.

“Izakaya” is the place for drink in Japanese, but no alcohol as restaurant is waiting for license.

インド人はエアコンをA/Cといいます。このA/C、壊れると大変不便で定期的なメンテナンスが必要です。メンテナンスはかなりワイルド、カバーごと取り外し思いっきゴシゴシ。中身はボロ雑巾で。綺麗になった、ような気がします。

Indian people calls Air Conditioner, as A/C. We cannot survive without A/C, so periodical maintenance is essential. Look, took whole cover was taken off and washed. What a wile it is.

このエリアへの訪問はあまり推奨されていませんが、家族がドライバーと一緒に散策した写真をご紹介。自称ガイドの人が「2000ルピーで案内するよ」とか「300ルピーにまけておく」とかめちゃくちゃな料金を要求しますが、なんとこの日は見回りの警官に呼び止められ「どうしてここにいるんだ？最近スリがあったので早く立ち去った方が良い」と。「いや、ガイドしてもらっているので…」と後ろを振り返ると誰もいなかったそうな。しかしそのおかげで撮れたレアな写真たち。

This area is not commonly allowed to tourist, but my family has visited with driver. When they enter to the area, self introduced “guide” offered “INR2000” or “today only for INR300”, but coincidently they’re caught by police. “Why are you here? It has reported pick-pocket recently” the policeman asked and answered “Don’t worry, we’re with guide”. But when my wife looked back to find guide, he was already gone… But luckily in exchange of little scared experiment, they got nice lively picture of Dobi Ghatt.
