デリーといえば緑と黄色のリキシャー。今回はツアードライバーを契約しているので、のんびりと市内散策。
インド門も間近で見ると大きいてです。こちらは慰霊碑で第一次世界大戦で戦死した兵士を追悼するために作られたものです。ここから大統領官邸まで伸びるラージパト通りは国家式典の際に良く使われます。
Rickshaw in Delhi is colored by yellow and green. This time we hired tour driver and had a sightseeing.
First time to visit India Gate so closely . This gate is a war memorial for First World War. The road from gate to the Rashtrapati Bhavan , named Rajapath (formally Kingsley), is famous for national ceremony.
さて、Delhi行きの当日。昨晩PNRコードで次便への振替を確認していたものの、Confirmationのメールが届いていないので朝からカスタマーセンターへ猛攻撃。「20分後に確認して連絡する」と言われたものの、当然折り返しなどなし。致し方なく空港へ突撃。
案の定、予約が消滅していて他の便は満席のため、夜の便への振替しかできないと言われ、家族のことも考えるとこのまま引き下がるわけには行かず。テキトーな国なのでカウンターから梃子でも動かないと交渉を開始。
昨晩の予約設立画面コピーやら、何の便でもいいから家族分を振り代えてくれと粘りまくり、8:45出発の予定が11:55のフライトになんとか振り替えてもらいました。
On the day for flight to Delhi, I checked PNR code last night but didn’t receive any confirmation Email yet. I thought something wrong and quickly contacted to customer service desk. Staff told me to give a call back in 20mins, but never phone rang. No choice other than decide to go to the airport.
Within plan B thought, my flight booking was disappeared and staff suggested to change to evening flight which cannot be acceptable for my family. Factoring in reactive manner of Indian staff, I stayed at the airport counter and started negotiation.
Presented the screenshot of my booking confirmation, and requested any flight / airline which is available at the earliest, I finally managed to get the ticket with 11:55 flight, 3 hours delay from the original booking. Phew
日本に出張中にJetAirwaysのフライトがキャンセルされ、泣く泣く追加料金を払ってVistaraのチケット買ったのに、なんとフライトがキャンセル。急いで次便を予約。これが悪夢の序章となるとは、この時点では夢にも思いませんでした。
While I was business trip in Japan, my JetAirways flight to Delhi was cancelled, therefore bought new ticket with Vistara with extra cost.
But, all of sudden the flight was again cancelled. Quickly contacted to customer service to find next flight. I didn’t know this was still just a beginning….
出張を終え、いよいよ帰国。最終日の朝食は空港の寿司岩でお寿司。そしてダイエット中とうことを忘れ、ラウンジでラーメン。さて帰ります。
Before finishing long business trip to Japan, last breakfast in Japan was Sushi, at Sushi-Iwa at the airport. On top of that I ate Ramen noodle at the lounge, albeit needed for little diet.
実は自分専用のiPadを持っていなかったのと、SEを使い続けていたのですが流石に文字が小さくて辛くなってきたので新型iPad miniのセルラーモデルを購入。小型ながらハイスペック。やはり持ち運びのしやすさ重視かな。
Actually I don’t have my own iPad and due to difficulty to read via small iPhone SE display, I decided to buy new iPad mini (cellular model). This is quite nice even small, I like this portability.

お昼に高校時代からの大親友とお寿司ランチの後、大阪へ。大阪ではロンドン時代の先輩ご夫妻と近江牛のお店で夕食。食レポ忘れるくらい、食に熱中してしまいました。

Wanted to taste Sushi. Visited Sushi zanmai, one of the famous Sushi franchises in Japan. Enjoyed fresh fishes which we absolutely cannot enjoy in India.
買い物に行く時間がないので必要なものは通販で調達します。
During the business trip I don’t have much time for shopping. Delivery service saves my life & time.
到着後すぐにオフィスへ。ミーティング後の初の食事は海鮮丼。Back to backのスケジュールですが、食事はせめてもの楽しみ。ブリックスクエアの炉ばた磯貝にて。
Soon after arrival, visited Tokuo office straight away. After the meeting my first meal in Japan was seafood rice bowl. Really packed back to back meeting, but meal is one of the fun.
