ムンバイ建築観光名所一つで、ランドマーク的な高級ホテル、タージパレス。建立は1903年。イギリス統治時代、タタグループの創設者シャムシェドジー・タタが当時白人専用だったホテルに入ろうとしたときにインド人であるという理由で断られたことをきっかけに、インド人建築家に豪華なホテルを作らせたのが成り立ちといわれています。

It was built in 1903 when Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata, a founder of Tata group, was refused to enter the hotel for European people, he asked Indian architect to build much luxury hotel.
