Business trip to Japan. Want to reduce BT this year… though.

パンドラにあるタイ料理とちょっと和食を提供するBlue’s kitchen へ。値段は安くはありませんが、ツナロールなど、悪くない感じでした。

Visited Blue’s kitchen in Bandra, where we can enjoy Thai cuisine and little Japanese. Tuna roll is ok eve for Japanese. One of the option.

今日はムンバイが所属するマハーラーシュトラ州の新年。普段見慣れたバイクも、民族衣装に身を包んだ若者の姿が多く見られます。あ、気づかれた。

久しぶりにチェナイに出張に来ています。ランチは最近新しくなったというバーガー屋、Double Rotiへ。”チキンビーフバーガー”なる謎なるメニューもありましたが、無難にグリルポークテリヤキバーガー。ややジューシーさに欠けますが、味はまずまず。

Visiting Chennai quite some while. Went to the burger restaurant, Double Roti”. Ate the “grilled pork teriyaki”, I like little more juicy one but good. Found “Chicken beef burger” which I have no idea what exactly it is..

インドに赴任してから約10ヶ月。初めてエア・インディアに乗りました。

エア・インディアに搭乗する際の注意は、国内線だとしても（本日時点での知っている情報の範囲では）デリーとムンバイの空港では「国際線」の出発ゲートにある「D＝Domestic」のサインを辿る必要があります。

エアインディアの前身はタタ航空。前後に半官半民として実質的に接収されてしまった歴史があります。

機内食はベジのみ。インド人の多くはベジ。廃棄の問題を解消するために2年ほど前にノンベジメニューは廃止されたそうです。

After 10 months of my stay in India, finally took an Air India.

Little note for the traveler with Air India is, at this moment, we have to follow the “D = Donestuc” sign in Delhi and Mumbai Airport for the departure. Departure gate is interestingly near the international departures.

Originally the airline was founded by Tata group but after WW2, this was taken up by Central Government.

On board menu is only vegetarian, as it is known that majority of Indian is a vegetarian, hence this is to reduce (avoid) disposal of non-veg meal from 2017.

最近「PAULがデリー（グルガオン）に出来た」というニュースがあり、夕食前に立ち寄ってみました。おおっ、なんとPAULではないですか。ベーカリーレストランも有ります。価格はやはりお高め。

ショップスタッフに「ムンバイにも作ってよ」聞いたところ、「え？知らないの？ムンバイにでもできるよ。」と新情情報が。あまりに嬉しく「ムンバイのどこにできるの？」と、新しい情報を引き出そうとしたところ、「うーん、わからない。多分出店するとしても2年くらいかかるんじゃない？」と。

おー、なんともインド人的なリアクション。つまり彼は私たちを落胆させまいと、「ムンバイも国際都市なのでいつかできるだろう」「だけど「そういう決定事実はございません」と言いたかったのです。

We heard the news that recently PAUL (French bakery shop) opened in Delhi (Gurgaon), so visited before the dinner. Wow, it is PAUL, and they also have an bakery restaurant, how nice!

We asked shop staff if PAUL has a plan to open a shop in Mumbai, He said “Oh you don’t know? It will open in Mumbai”. What a surprise informal information!. We asked “Where about Mumbai?”, and waited his answer. He smiled and “Sorry I don’t know. Maybe it takes 2 years”.

This is typical Indian way of not disappointing questioner. In reality his brain worked like this… “Mumbai is also a international city, it is natural PAUL to open a shop”, “But I don’t know the detail / company disclosed anything”…

今回はジェノベーゼを頼みました。クリーム少なめというオーダーで、なんとか食べられる感じです。

This time tried Genovese pasta, ordered with “less creamy”. This is OK.

令和の新時代らしく、官邸は元号の公表をYouTube で配信。海外にいる身としては、首相のコメントをライブで聴けるのは、国民として嬉しい限り。

Japanese Government broadcasted big event, publication of name of new era, via YouTube live stream, in line with “new” Reiwa era.

This is very good for young ages who now became not to watching TV so much, and also benefit for like us who lives outside of Japan, enable us to hear Prime Minister’s comment.
